I use it for my dining table in my small apartment. The drawer is a bonus. Very pleased.
This table is sturdy and wonderfully priced for what is real wood! I just have a small space for a dining room area, and won't use a dining table unless I have guests over- maybe once a month. This works perfectly as a console table on the back of the couch the rest of the time, and is incredibly easy to pull out the "wings" underneath when needed. The color of the wood is rich and it's stained beautifully, and the little drawer is perfect for once a month dining table stuff. (Placemats, cloth napkins, etc)
Like the easy fold down method.
What to expect; the box is big and heavy. Getting it out of the box is
hard to do because it is the best packaged item I've ever bought. It is made from fine grained and very solid Thailand para wood and finished in a walnut stain. The Para tree is the latex (rubber) producing tree. After 30 years of so when it ends producing latex they used to cut them down and burn them. Now they have begun to turn them into high quality furniture. When closed it is small and innocuous . If you need more room you pull the sides backward until they hit a stopper. It was worth the effort and I would buy another one if I needed it but I will be giving my delivery people a break. I love that it's made from a resource that once would have been burned. I am very happy with this table.
